Renee Hubbs — founder and owner of Integrated Health of Mid-Michigan  — is a licensed acupuncturist with more than 30 years of experience in using acupuncture to heal and invigorate patients.

In her practice, which she first established 40 years ago, Renee specializes in a Japanese-style of acupuncture — a technique that uses smaller, more refined needles. Renee brings to her practice her rigorous education and her commitment to continuing education. Renee graduated from the California School of Acupuncture in 1984 and successfully passed the Board of Medical Quality Assurance Examination on Oriental Medicine and Chinese Herbs in the same year. She remains current in her post-graduate education by participating in continuing education credits.

Although her acupuncture practice is firmly rooted in ancient tradition, Renee is passionate about integrating other healing modalities to bring relief and resolution to the conditions her clients may be experiencing. She utilizes a wide range of modalities, including Arvigo Massage, Neuro-Acupuncture, and PhotoBiomodulation. Sessions with Renee can focus on maintaining an overall sense of balance and well-being, or they can include specific treatments for stress, anxiety, infertility, pregnancy, allergy elimination, and so much more. Renee treats clients age 2 to 102 and women and men alike, and she has extensive experience in supporting women with obstetric/gynecologic challenges including fertility challenges. Renee holds a certification in Menopause Management and also holds current certification in Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Therapy as well as Advanced Pregnancy Training. To extend her clinical abilities even further, she has studied The Clinical Excellence in Fertility program with Dr. Randine Lewis.

In addition to serving the community through Integrated Health of Mid-Michigan, Renee supports the state of Michigan and her acupuncture colleagues through her work with the Michigan Board of Acupuncture, which oversees the registration and practice of acupuncture. Members of the board are appointed by the governor, and Renee has been reappointed to another four-year term since she was first appointed in 2014.

When she is not supporting her clients through one of her many modes of healing services, Renee enjoys gardening and tackling home improvement projects.
